Wall TV Stands

Wall TV stands are gaining popularity all throughout the country because they allow you to put a large Television and take up almost no floor space.  This is specially good in smaller rooms where floor space is important.  There are many different types of wall mounted TV stands.  You can find them for smaller tubed Televisions as well as plasma, and LCD Televisions.  Although you are only able to use a wall mount for smaller tube Televisions up to about 32 inches.

When it comes to Plasma, and LCD Televisions you can use a wall mounts on much larger televisions.  This is because the Plasma, and LCD TVs are much lighter then the tubed ones.  Another reason you are able to mount larger Televisions is because they are thin, and closer to the wall.  This makes it easier to mount the TVs to the wall without the TV falling and pulling the TV down.

Like mentioned before the benefits of this type of TV stand is that it frees up floor space that can be used for something else, or just to make the room look bigger.  Other benefits would be that you can put he wall mount somewhere that you wouldn't be able to put a regular TV stand.  You can mount a Television above the fireplace if you want, or somewhere else that would be inaccessible to a normal TV stand.

Some of the only disadvantages of a wall mount for your Television would be that there is nowhere to hide the wires that are coming from behind your Television.  You can but it takes a lot more work then what it normally would take if you got a regular TV stand.  There are ways to hide the wires but it means you would have to remove parts of the wall and drop the wires down behind the drywall.  Once done this would look good because you wouldn't be able to see the wires, but it also means that you cannot upgrade your theater system without cutting holes in the drywall again.

Just like other types of TV stands you can find any type of wall mounted TV stand on the Internet or other store that sells either furniture, or electronics.  These mounts range anywhere from $50.00 to $400.00 depending on what size television you have.  Obviously the bigger your TV the more the mount will cost.  When you buy the mount it will come with all the hardware you will need to safely mount the stand on the wall.  Make sure you follow all the instructions on how to hang the mount because if you do it wrong it could fall and damage your Television, other components, and even cause severe injury.
